The Department of Basic science has got a proud place of eminence in the glorious history of our institution. A quarter century ago, it was with this first step that our institution started the long journey in its quest for moulding generations of technical excellence. The Department was started with 180 students and a faculty of 2 each in the department of English, Maths, Physics and chemistry. At the age of 25, the department now boasts with 420 students and a faculty of 4 in each department. It gives us immense pleasure and satisfaction when we look back and assess our past.
The Physics lab has all standard equipments and apparatus for conducting the required experiments and prepares the students to fit into the engineering field.
At the end the student came to know about the harmful effect of the effluent and inorganic simple salt.
Our department has a full-fledged workshop with separate fitting, carpentry, welding, wiring, smithy, sheet metal, and foundry sections.
